Essentially the two are the same. Recent developments in clinical practice and alignment with many other countries has led to the adoption of the term Podiatrist in the UK. Podiatry is now the term used by a majority of practitioners.

Podiatrists work to improve the mobility, independence and the quality of life for their patients by providing preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankles and lower limbs.

What treatments are available?
  • Full biomechanical assessments of the lower limb - including video analysis
  • Custom orthotic/insoles manufacture and fitting
  • Nail surgery - including follow-up appointments and dressings
  • Chiropody – nail cuts, hard skin, diabetic checks and corns
  • Verrucae treatment
